biExport is not a proprietary solution for SAP Analytics Cloud. It rather is a platform, which provides a variety of Export core features such as:
- Export to PowerPoint format
- Export to Word format
- Export to PDF format
- Export to Excel format
- Export to CSV format
- Usage of company specific Export Templates
- Scheduling of Exports
- Broadcasting and Information Bursting (sending different views of the same dashboard to different users)
- Publishing via mail, to sharepoint, file shares, SAP systems, Web Services and others
- Automatic execution of different views (filter selections, drilldowns, tabs etc) of a dashboard
biExport uses biexcellence’s OPENBI technology as a framework.
While the Export core features are reused between the frontends, each frontend is integrated using:
- a component or widget special to this frontend, integrating the Export functionality
- a biExport plugin to account for the frontend’s specialities
The biExport platform can be either:
- installed on-premise
- used as a hosted service
